| Presenting La Paletta |
|
La Paletta offers a rustic Italian café setting with an urban twist, serving rich Italian Cheesecakes, Lemon Tarts, Chocolate Pralines, Millefeuilles, as well as a variety of freshly baked breads, including sourdough, seeded and more Italian speciality breads. Everything is prepared on the premises, under the watchful eye of the highly skilled pastry chefs and you can also buy gourmet coffees and other fine Italian delicacies. For those in London wanting to escape the city bustle, La Paletta offers a relaxing environment to linger over a steaming cup of coffee and a pastry. The interiors were designed by The Redbird Agency, Etrusca’s regular collaborator and focus on natural materials and warm colours, offering a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere with blond wood used for shelves, walls and chairs. La Paletta seats up to 35 with a small conservatory area and outside seating for warmer days. A café style bakery and patisserie was a logical step for brothers Enzo and Piero Quaradeghini. Their father is actually responsible for importing the first Gaggia machine to London from Italy before Londoners even knew what a cappuccino was. He was also one of the first Italian restaurateurs in London; subsequently Enzo and Piero’s love of food and the restaurant business stems from their father’s passion. They inherited the family business in the early nineties and have expanded it to include fine dining restaurants, wine bars and cafes. La Paletta is therefore a welcome addition to carry on the Quaradeghini family tradition. |
